ATTORNEY ERIC PITSCH began his legal career with Hinshaw & Culbertson practicing
Insurance Defense Law. From a diverse beginning, his practice progressed and other firms took
notice. After being recruited to another law firm, Eric’s practice continued to grow, which lead
him to open his own office.
While being born in the Appleton, Wisconsin, area Eric grew up in the City of Niagara, attending
Niagara High School, until relocating back to Appleton and graduating from Appleton East High
School. He then attended the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point where he majored in
Psychology and earned his Baccalaureate Degree. Eric started his Postgraduate work at the
University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where he majored in Educational Psychology with an
emphasis in Counseling Psychology, earning his Masters of Science Degree. After that he
attended Oxford University - Magdalen College were he studied International Law. Eric then
went on to Study International & Comparative Law and IP Law in Florence, Italy through the
University of San Diego School of Law. Finally, he completed his education at Thomas M. Cooley
Law School earning his Juris Doctor Degree in Law with an emphasis in Litigation. In addition
to practicing law, Eric is an acknowledged researcher, author and adjunct college professor.
Over and above the numerous professional research articles that he has published, Eric’s book
“Lawyers, Mental Health Professionals & the Legal System” received outstanding reviews. As an
instructor for Cardinal Stritch University, Eric teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in
Business Law, Ethics, Psychology of Business, and Wage & Compensation.
If you're interested in genealogy and tracing your family roots, one of Eric's hobbies, you may be
interested in knowing his biological family tree dates back to the time of King William the Lion, as
he is a 10th generation Baird, which is reflected in the family coat-of-arms shown above over the
family Tartan, a wild bear and a motto given by the king: "[t]here is a tradition that as King William
the Lion was hunting in one of the south-west counties of Scotland, and happened to straggle from
his attendants, he was alarmed at the approach of a wild bear, and cried for help; upon which a
gentleman, of the name of Baird, who had followed the King from England, ran up and had the
good fortune to kill the bear, for which signal service the King made a considerable addition to the
lands he had given him before, and assigned him for his coat-of-arms a bear passant, and for his
motto, 'Dominus fecit.'"

Actual Client Testimonial: "I was facing 3 1/2 years in prison and a
$10,000.00 fine for something I didn't do. I didn't know what to expect, but
Attorney Pitsch got my case thrown out! Thanks Attorney Pitsch, if it wasn't
for you I'd probably be in prison for something I didn't do."
